Give your classic meatloaf a twist with this pork and apple version – it’s a match made in heaven!
Ingredients:
500g (1lb) pork mince
1 onion, finely chopped
1 apple, peeled and grated
1⁄2 cup dried breadcrumbs
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp crushed garlic
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 tsp salt
3 fresh sage leaves, chopped (optional)
Method:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking tray.
Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well combined.
Tip the mixture out onto a board and form into a loaf shape, then place on the baking tray.
Bake for 1 hour until golden and cooked through.
Serves: 4 Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 1 hour
